Dadabhai Naoroji, first Indian in British parliament and merchant, was born at Navsari, Gujarat. He coined the word 'Swaraj'.

1/12/1966Shiri Narhar Vishnu Gadgil (Kakasaheb), great freedom fighter, nationalist leader, social reformer, lawyer, prolific writer and politician, passed away.
2/15/1936Nabin Chandra Bardoloi, freedom fighter, passed away.
