Kolkata, Sep 27 (IANS) The recovery of Maoist posters in West Bengal's Birbhum district sparked off tension among the villagers on Sunday.
The Maoist posters mentioning names of local Trinamool Congress leaders were seen at Batikar village in Parui. The local residents immediately informed the police about the incident.
Later, the police tore off all the posters and started an investigation into the matter.
A few days ago, similar Maoist posters were also found at Parui area near Illambazar in Birbhum.
Maoist posters were seen in Jhargram district earlier forcing the state administration to increase the number of security forces in West Bengal's notorious Junglemahal -- an imaginary belt comprising three western districts of Bengal.
