Skagit County is located in the Northwest corner of Washington State. It is about halfway between Seattle, WA and Vancouver, BC. Its border stretches from the glacial peaks of the Cascade Mountains to the coastal waters of Puget Sound. Skagit County offers plenty of outdoor activites such as river rafting, kayaking, hiking, biking and whale watching.

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival
Running the first two weeks of April, the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival has attracted countless tourists, flower enthusiasts, or just the curious since it began in 1982. Bay View State Park
This is a 25-acre camping park with 1,285 feet of saltwater shoreline on Padilla Bay. Over 11,000 acres of Padilla Bay are designated as National Estuarine Sanctuary. Breazeale Padilla Bay Interpretive Center is located a half mile north of the park. The park offers several activities such as boating, water skiing, swimming and bird watching.

Anacortes
Anacortes is located on Fidalgo Island the easternmost of the San Juan Islands. Fidalgo, the "drive-to" island, is accessible by bridges from the east and from Whidbey Island to the south. It is also home to the Washington State Ferry terminal, serving the rest of the San Juans and Sidney/Victoria, British Columbia. Anacortes offers a plethora of activities such as sailing, power boating, whale watching, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, golf, camping, sport fishing, bird watching, scuba diving and beach combing.

Deception Pass
Deception Pass is the most photographed attraction in Washington State. Deception Pass Bridge, connecting Whidbey Island to Fidalgo Island is a popular spot for photographers looking to capture the beauty of the Puget Sound.
Rasar State Park
Rasar State Park is a 169-acre camping park with 4,000 feet of freshwater shoreline on the Skagit River. The park offers several activities such as fishing, swimming, bird watching, hiking and wildlife viewing. Wildlife observation opportunities, especially for eagle watching, are excellent, particularly in early fall and early winter.
